Job Description

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounting Analyst. If you are looking for an opportunity in a rapidly growing company with clear career advancement prospects, this position is for you.

As an Accounting Analyst, you will join the finance team in a dynamic, stimulating, and growing environment. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including cost analysis against budget for all expense categories (excluding revenue).

You will also contribute to month-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, payment processor reconciliations, tracking prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, depreciation, and any other related tasks. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be supporting cash management by preparing and monitoring cash flow, thereby helping to optimize the company's financial visibility and support its strategic decision-making. Beyond your operational responsibilities, you will actively participate in the full accounting cycle and support special projects aimed at improving financial processes. Your role will be essential in supporting the company's rapid growth and ensuring the rigor and efficiency of its accounting practices.

Main Responsibilities

0-3 months:

  • Enter and validate supplier invoices in the correct general ledger accounts, departments, and business lines, and ensure the follow-up of our purchasing processes, including internal controls.

  • Prepare supplier payments on a bi-monthly basis according to the payment schedule.

  • Manage bank reconciliations and credit card management in a timely manner.

  • Perform accounting analyses related to prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, depreciation, and any other month-end tasks.

  • Manage and maintain business continuity schedules, such as advance payments and accrued expenses.

  • Contribute to supporting the company's audit requirements.

3-6 months:

  • Analyze costs against budget for all expense items (excluding revenue and accounts related to salary compensation).

Subsequently:

  • Support the controller in daily operations, month-end analysis, and other assigned tasks.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data accuracy and the efficiency of financial processes, and participate in projects Specials related to the company's rapid growth.

  • Assist the team with other projects (accounts payable automation in our accounting system and bank integration) or related initiatives.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)

  • Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent.

  • CPA designation in Method of obtaining this qualification.

  • 1-3 years or more of experience in an accounting or equivalent role.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English).

  • Attentive to quality and detail.

  • Team player; Organized and structured individual. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Additional Information Remote work and flexibility (work-life balance).
