Accounting Technician – evolving role | Lévis

Are you looking for a diverse accounting role that can evolve with your experience?

We are open to both a recent graduate with a good accounting foundation and an experienced technician. Training, level of autonomy, and responsibilities will be adapted to the selected person.

Your role

In direct collaboration with the controller, you will touch on several aspects of operational accounting:

• accounts payable, invoice validation, purchase orders, and payment preparation;
  
• client invoicing and collections;
  
• administrative and financial project tracking;
  
• payroll preparation and government remittances;
  
• possibility to gradually contribute to month-end activities;
  
• support for various accounting needs of the team.
  

The position also includes about 10% of general administrative tasks, including reception and some calls, which remain low volume.

A position that can evolve

A more junior profile can learn gradually and develop autonomy. An experienced person can quickly take on more responsibilities in invoicing, payroll, month-end, and other accounting aspects.

The goal is to evolve the role according to the strengths, experience, and interests of the person.

The desired profile

• training in accounting: DEP, AEC, DEC, or equivalent;
  
• good essential accounting foundations;
  
• intermediate or higher English, spoken and written (verbal exchanges with English-speaking clients);
  
• good knowledge of Excel and computer skills;
  
• rigor, organization, autonomy, and team spirit. 
  

Conditions and environment

• permanent full-time position;
  
• 40 hours per week;
  
• 100% in-person in Lévis;
  
• four weeks of vacation;
