A pivotal role, directly linked to the Chief Financial Officer
Do you enjoy going beyond the numbers and understanding what is really happening in operations? Our client, a growing company, is looking for a rigorous, curious, and collaborative accounting professional to take on a key role within their finance team.
In this position, you will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and interact with several departments. Your role will not be limited to producing reports: you will need to analyze, question, understand variances, and seek information from the right stakeholders.
Your role will involve, in particular:
- Producing monthly financial statements;
- Analyzing general ledger accounts;
- Bank reconciliations;
- Budget monitoring;
- Analyzing margins by client and by project;
- Costing (you will be taught if you haven't done it yet);
- Accounting control of inventory;
- Improving financial tools and internal controls.
The desired profile
We are looking for someone with about 4 years of experience in accounting, ideally a Bachelor's degree in accounting, a good command of Excel, and comfort with ERP systems. Experience in manufacturing, construction, or inventory will be an asset. This position is aimed at someone who enjoys collaborating, asking questions, and playing a concrete role in the quality of financial information. Interpersonal skills and resourcefulness will be as important as technical skills.
Working conditions
- Permanent full-time position;
- 40 hours per week schedule;
- Stable schedule to maintain;
- Hybrid work mode;
- Collective insurance paid 50/50;
- 2 sick days per year;
- Holidays and vacation days according to construction;
- Telemedicine;
- RRSP contribution;
- Company events;
- On-site parking;
- Casual dress code.
Why consider this opportunity?
Because this role combines stability, variety, and impact. You will have access to a manager known for their listening and support, while holding a strategic function in a growing company. It’s a great opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to move beyond purely transactional roles and evolve in an environment where their analyses, follow-ups, and collaboration with operations will have a concrete effect on business decisions.
